"I am an author, journalist, anthologist and occasional poet based in Ontario, Canada. Some years ago, I completed a Creative Writing diploma from the Humber School for Writers, Toronto. I wrote two non-fiction books 'Fighting for Women's Rights - The Extraordinary Adventures of Anna Leonowens' (James Lorimer & Company, Publishers, Toronto) and 'Champions of Women's Rights - Leading Canadian Women and their battles for Social justice' (James Lorimer & Company Publishers, Toronto). I have also published an ebook, 'Positive Thoughts for Writers' (Echelon Press, USA).

I grew up in Pune, India in the mid-1960s. It as a magical time. There were more trees, magenta bougainvillea sprouted from stone walls encircling 'housing societies' and the corner store sold black-and-white striped candy called Bull's Eye. Cloudy afternoons with fat black plums (known locally as 'jamun') curled up on the sofa, immersed in 'Great Expectations', is one of my earliest memories.

After school, I enrolled as a student of Literature. Then I frequently became breathless with admiration at Keats' poetry, and also devoured DH Lawrence's novels at intervals. I did delve into theories of Economics and Psychology, but it was always the English Lit class which claimed my heart.

Degrees and bylines later, in the golden deserts of Bahrain, I discovered myself standing at the edge of a revolution. It was the 80s and early 90s and the Internet had arrived. Overnight it seemed as if the world had shrunk to touching distance. It remains that way."
